A Quick Update

I keep telling myself that I’d post an update, and then I keep getting busy and putting it off. So this time I’ll just make it quick.

No, I’m not dead. No, I haven’t given up on writing. I’ve just been terribly busy over the past year — between working on a certification program, having new responsibilities at work now that I’m the lead engineer on the team, and some other personal real-life obligations. I just haven’t had the time to actually sink into writing for a while, and any spare time has been sunk into blowing off steam instead.

Well, not completely true. I did have a window during the Summer when I was reasonably lax for a month, but I got hooked onto Quora during that period. To debate with people who can actually back up their arguments with sources, statistics, and academia! Such pleasure to be had ^^ (also found a Russian community on there that taught me more about the Russian outlook upon the world in one month than I’ve learned in the previous 5 years… really made me reexamine my characters.)

That being said, I expect things to cool down as winter approaches. I have a lot of vacation time left over and my courses are ending in just two more weeks. Hopefully I’ll have time to write again then; the itch is certainly bugging me.

      1. Too many consecutive updates about the Russian outlook. For rehabilitation purposes FBI-chan requires you to write some fiction now. 😛

          There’s a lot to be updated.

  2. Hey Aorii, glad to see you’re still writing. It’s been a while hasn’t it? Sad to see the other novel didn’t work out how you wanted but this one’s looking good. Just remembered to search up the site tonight and I’m glad everything’s still up and going well. I’m a couple chapters in and I’ll probably be catching up in the coming days.

    Keep up the good work and let me know if you ever need a proofreader again~

    1. Hey Schuyler if you remember prior to my hiatus one of my biggest indecisions was how I’d change the opening chapter? So if you’re going to catch up I’d suggest holding off for the moment =P
