Story Synopsis

Born into prestige and gifted with talent, Pascal was a promising officer cadet whose deeds caught even the King’s gaze. At the mere age of twenty, he had everything a young, ambitious man could need to begin a promising career.

Except his habitual arrogance had destroyed every opportunity of a close friendship outside his political marriage.

Seeking a companion who meets his protracted list of requirements, Pascal decided to craft the ‘perfect spell’ for the upcoming familiar ceremony. If those around him were not fit to accompany his genius, then he would summon a best friend through his own hands — one that was mature, intelligent, knowledgeable, bright, and cute as well.

He received far more than he bargained for… and in turn, so did the shifting geopolitical power balance of his world.

  1. I remember reading this in about 7th grade and it was only up to volume 2. I came back to re-read it I can’t believe its up to volume 4 now and getting a redux! I also love the little picture of her on the tofu monster so cute. Thank you for all the memories you gave me and getting me into reading! Hope you have a wonderful time

    After what, ten, twelve years? I finally found you again.
    Maybe even longer.
    Who knows! All I know is I absolutely loved what was published way back then; and I fully intend to immerse myself within the world of Hyperion all over again now i’ve finally rediscovered you.

        Yes, I meant four full volumes indeed! Right now, I’m at volume 2, and all of the chapters so far are so good that I can’t stop reading. At this rate, I’m afraid that I’ll reach the final chapter and have nothing this good left to read anymore. Lol.

        I still remember the day you sent an email saying that you’d decided to pick up this novel again. That was such amazing news. I would like to thank you one more time for writing this and allowing random people like me to read it for free. What a privilege!

  6. Hello.

    Just recently started reading your story and honestly have been having trouble putting it down. Love your characters and love your “realistic” take on a fantasy world. Can tell that a lot of research and thought has gone into this.

    I apologise for not generally commenting on the story till now, but the true reason for my doing so now actually an unfortunate one. Two of themore recent chapters (Vol 4 – 4 and Vol 4- 5) seem to be duplicates of one another. Different titles but the actual chapters are identical. Suspect that chapter 4 is the one that got overwritten(?).

    Felt you aught to know, and also hope to be able to read the intended chapter. Seriously I’m loving this story. Would hate to miss something.

    1. Hello Rallionart, thank you for bringing this to my attention. You are correct that it was v4ch4 that was overwritten (by ch5 content) during my last round of general editing (where I went over all the chapters of v4 thus far). I can’t believe I haven’t noticed that until now… I’ve fixed the chapter.
